Bonnie Virginia Blackwood, of Cullman, passed away at her residence surrounding by her family on Friday, April 12, 2019 at the age of 93.
She is preceded in death by her parents: John Elbert and Lily Pearl Rainey McBrayer; husband John “Hunky” Blackwood; son, Jimmy Blackwood; son-in-law, J.C. Cook; sister, Versie Hembree and brother, Herl McBrayer.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Connie Cook; son, Tommy (Shiela) Blackwood; daughter-in-law, Linda Blackwood; grandchildren: Johnny (Chrystie) Cook, Keith Blackwood, Malorie Blackwood (Wesley) Campbell and Leah (Casey) Mitchell; great grandchildren: Stephanie Cook, Jennifer Blackwood, Karlie Cook and Lathan Cook; brother, Coy (Jean) McBrayer and sister-in-law, Joann McBrayer.
Her family will receive friends on Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life service will follow at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Moss Service Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Blackwood officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Blackwood, Doug Blackwood, Johnny Cook, Johnny McBrayer, Wesley Campbell and Casey Mitchell. Honorary pallbearer is Keith Blackwood.
