Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Marie Forstmann Davenport, 90, of Cullman are Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Seventh Street Baptist Church, Rev. Bill Ellis and Rev. Eric Martin officiating, with interment in Cullman City Cemetery.  Visitation on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Davenport went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Jan. 18, 2019.  She was born Dec. 8, 1928 in Richmond, Virginia to Marie Teresa Metzger Forstmann.

She was preceded in death by  her mother; three brothers, Bernard L. Forstmann, Charles L. Forstmann and Joseph E. Forstmann; four sisters, Rosalie F. Ayers, Agnes F. Sands, Madeline F. Surles and Estelle Forstmann; her daughter, Barbara D. (John W. III) Ellis; her grandson, Richard David Collier and her great grandson, Matthew Ryan Ray.

Mrs. Davenport is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, James Conard Davenport; daughter, Carol (Lonnie) Collier Jr.; granddaughter, Julie (Michael) Ray; two grandsons, Rev. Bill (Angela) Ellis and Lonnie W. Collier III; great granddaughter, Emma Marie Ray; and two great grandsons, Jordan W. Ray and Will C. Ellis.
