Obituary: Johnny Williamson

Johnny Mack Williamson, 78, of Addison, entered into rest on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at his home surrounded by loved ones.

Mr. Williamson was born on August 23, 1940 in Cullman, Alabama. Johnny graduated from West Point High School in 1958. He was raised in the Church of Christ faith, but had attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church for many years.  He served in the United States Army for 2 years. Johnny sold insurance for 34 years, and enjoyed riding and mowing the lawn, and traveling. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Nesmith Community, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. with services at 2 p.m. Brother Jr. Garmon and Brother John Echols will officiate.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Virginia Kathy Williamson; sons, Manuel Todd Williamson, Terry Chad Williamson and his wife Clancy Randolph; sisters, Louise Howse, Vivian Ann (Cecil) Cole; grandchildren, Nathanial Todd Williamson, Benjamin Randolph Williamson and Gracie Beth Williamson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Una Williamson; and brother, Jimmy Williamson.
