Obituary: Gregory Scott Privett

Gregory Scott Privett, 59 of Cullman, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at his home.

He was born on February 13, 1958 in Caribou, Maine. Gregory graduated from Addison High School in 1976 and Wallace State Community College in 1986.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 4 years.  Gregory worked at Nucor in Birmingham for 17 years and Trico Steel in Decatur for 5 years.

Visitation was held Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 12-2pm at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Nesmith Community, where services at 2pm. Brother Jr. Garmon officiated.  Burial was at Mt. Pleasant  Baptist Church Cemetery.

Gregory is survived by his wife of 27 years, Pamela Ann Privett; parents, Teddy and Beverly Privett; son, Jeremy Scott Privett; daughters, Shanna Johnson and husband Matthew, Ashley Bauer, Aja Rogers; brothers, Michael (JoAnne) Privett, Phillip (Melisa) Privett, Timothy Privett; sister in law, Wanda (Charlie) Privett Vest; he was "Pop" to 10 grandchildren, Kayleah, Krissy, Piper, Kilor, Kelsey, Ellissa, Parker, Eden, Emma, Paci; 4 great- grandchildren, Kaden, Ryder, Bowdie, Mila; mother in law, Betty Coleman; sister in law, Debra (Roger) Sanders; and a host of nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his brother, Shannon Joseph Privett; grandparents, Espy and Nettie Privett.
