FAIRVIEW – Dr. Craig Ross, Cullman County superintendent, said a decision was made Thursday evening, following an inspection of the facilities, to close down Fairview's football stadium until repairs can be made.

"At this time the football stadium is not going to be used until the repairs have been made," Dr. Ross said. "It seems the concrete bleachers have shifted, making it likely that a big chunk of concrete could break off and seriously hurt someone."

Fairview's game against Hanceville will be played at Cullman High School's Oliver Woodard Stadium at 7 p.m.

"Luckily for us Cullman is away when Fairview is at home," Dr. Ross said. "We are very grateful to both Dr. Elton Bouldin, CHS principal, and Dr. Doreen Griffeth,

CCS superintendent, for allowing us use of their facilities while we repair the problems at Fairview."

Dr. Ross stated Fairview will play the remainder of this season's games at Oliver Woodard Stadium.
