Carol Barbara Smith, 80, passed on October 24, 2026. Born July 5, 1946, in Cullman, Alabama, she formerly lived in Dallas, GA.
Carol is preceded in death by her husband, James Smith; her father, Paul Steven Livingston; her mother, Alma Birdie Jones Livingston; her sister, Pauline Williams; her brother, J.C. Livingston; and her son, Steven Smith.
She is survived by her grandson, Justin Smith (Katie); her great-grandchildren, Reece Smith and Raigen Smith; her sisters, Effie Hudson and Penny Viot (Peter); and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held at Moss-Service Funeral Home, 1901 2nd Ave North West, Cullman, AL, on Monday, October 26, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A second visitation will be held at Benson Funeral Home, 309 Hardee St, Dallas, GA, on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, beginning at 12 p.m. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow, beginning at 2 p.m. The services will conclude with a graveside service at New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery, 3147 Atlanta Hwy, Dallas.
