Michael Stephen Ugarkovich Jr., age 70, of Cullman, Alabama passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
Mike was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. It has often been said of him that “he never met a stranger,” “he knew everyone,” and “he couldn’t go anywhere without someone knowing him.” He loved coaching sports and was an avid Notre Dame Fighting Irish football fan.
For forty years, Mike faithfully served the community through his work with the Cullman Electric Cooperative, where his dedication and kindness touched countless lives.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Terri Shoemake Ugarkovich; his daughter Jaime Medlock (Bryan); and his son Michael Ugarkovich (T’aira); his grandchildren Lakeley Medlock, Katherine Ugarkovich, Deklan Medlock and Anna James Ugarkovich.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents Michael Stephen and Victoria Meres Ugarkovich.
A visitation for Mike will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 217 2nd St SE, Cullman, AL 35055. A rosary service will follow Tuesday. The Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Ugarkovich will be Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 10 a.m. A graveside committal service will follow at Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, Falkville, AL 35622.
