CULLMAN – Thunderstorms will move into the Cullman area around lunchtime, according to the National Weather Service in Huntsville, which said some may become strong to marginally severe.

NWS Huntsville has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the counties of Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, De Kalb, Cullman, Moore (TN), Lincoln and Franklin (TN).

"A line of showers and a few thunderstorms will move into northwest Alabama this morning and gradually push east across the region through the mid afternoon. An isolated storm or two may become strong to marginally severe, with brief damaging wind gusts being the primary threat. A brief, weak tornado cannot be ruled out due to the strong wind field associated with this frontal system."
