CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman’s boutique scene is ever-changing, with specialized storefronts offering a host of home decor, bespoke garments and accessories as well as handmade gifts. The Copper Cricket, the newest addition, features all the above and more.

Owners of The Copper Cricket and mother-daughter-duo, Susan Garrett and Brandy Gammon, shared that the store concept was born out of a finished basement in Logan, Alabama, and was nearly six years in the making. The space is clean and spacious, and an eclectic, yet cohesive, gathering of new boutique items, primitives, antiques and handmade gifts. The store follows the booth rent concept of business that many will be familiar with in other larger markets out in the county area.

Garrett said the uniqueness of the booth renters keeps the store offerings fresh and interesting.

“We rent our spaces to different vendors who have a different look. Everybody has their own thing going!” she said with a smile.

One of the largest draws for those clients who are crafty queens or DIY dudes is that The Copper Cricket carries exclusive supplies that are only available in their store, like luxuriously pigmented paints and unique transfers you can’t get anywhere else in Cullman.

“We have certain lines like Iron Orchid Designs and Fusion Mineral Paint that are exclusive to our store,” said Store Manager Paige Peoples. The Copper Cricket is located at 403 Fourth Ave. S, across from The Venue at Cotton Creek.

The Copper Cricket is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
