CULLMAN - At least one person has died following an early morning house fire on County Road 706 near Stone Bridge Farms, according to Cullman County Coroner Jeremy L. Kilpatrick. Odell Bice, 80, was pronounced dead at the scene after being removed from the home. A 60-year-old woman rescued from the home was airlifted to an area hospital.

The fully-involved house fire at 1461 County Road 706 was first reported at 2:41 a.m., when county dispatch first reported the address as County Road 717. Dispatch relayed that two people were trapped inside the home.

Two individuals on the scene told emergency responders that they had escaped the home, but that two additional people were still in the house.
